About Me
Welcome! My name is Kelsey Maher. I am an International Education Management (Dec. 2015) Master's candidate at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS). My specialties include marketing, higher education advising, and international education.
My most recent professional experience includes social media strategy, program development and assessment, and logistics organization. I am most familiar with Facebook, and Twitter strategies, while currently exploring how higher education departments can use SnapChat and Periscope (similar to Meerkat).
I continue to research topics in student development, higher education marketing, and intercultural communication strategies. In graduate school, I discovered how food can be used as a communicative tool for people of different backgrounds. Through this realization, I collaborated with Sam-Chapple-Sokol in creating a weekly podcast called The Culinary Citizen, a gastronomic guide to international relations and food.
